IPS e.max® CAD for Zenotec is an innovative lithium disilicate glass-ceramic (LS2) for the efficient fabrication of high-strength, esthetic all-ceramic restorations. This homogeneous ceramic material is machined using a wet grinding procedure while it is still in an intermediate crystalline phase and demonstrates its characteristic bluish shade. This is followed by a simple and quick crystallization process, during which IPS e.max CAD for Zenotec acquires its final strength of 360 MPa and the desired estethic characteristics, such as tooth colour, translucency and brightness.
Three different translucency levels, A – D, Bleach and Impulse shades give users the utmost flexibility in the fabrication of restorations. In addition, individual characteristics of the patient can be incorporated by means of the staining or cut-back technique. IPS e.max CAD for Zenotec forms a part of the IPS e.max all-ceramic system. The material is compatible with all the other IPS e.max materials and features coordinated shades*. IPS e.max CAD restorations are preferably seated with the dual-cure, universal Multilink® Automix luting composite. Alternatively, they can be incorporated using self-adhesive or conventional cements. A further suitable luting material is the new light- and dual-cured esthetic luting composite Variolink® Esthetic*.
